College History

In 1975, the defunct north eastern State Government established what was then known as Medical Auxiliary Training School (MATS) at Mubi, now in Adamawa State. At that time such schools trained Rural Health Assistants and Hospital Assistant’s. In 1980, the nomenclature of the schools changed to school of Health Technology and trained Community Health Assistants (CHAs), Community Health Aides (C.H.Aides), Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians, Laboratory Technicians and Assistants, Public Health Superintendents (PHS)whose name was later changed to Environmental Health Officers (EHO), etc. ...
