ABRIDGEMENT PROGRAMME IN COMMUNITY HEALTH TO GET DIPLOMA IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (DCH)

Admission Requirements
Qualified, registered and Licensed Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) with measurable cognate experience in the practice of Primary Health Care. Apart from the above requirements the candidates must also possess five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, and any other two (2) subjects in not more than two sittings at SSCE, GCE or NECO.
Duration of the Course: 18 weeks.
The course was developed for upgrading the knowledge and skills of practicing Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) to Diploma level. It is an eighteen (18) week programme by course work and written examination. There are a total of 25 courses in the Diploma abridged curriculum as tabulated below.

Entry Requirements
The Minimum Entry requirements into the National Diploma in Environmental Health Science Programme is five (5) credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE), National Examination council (NECO) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) ordinary level in not more than two (2) sittings or their equivalent as may be approved by EHORECON and WAHEB.
